Add / Manage Fuel Lock Device

Fuel Lock App

Add Device

For video guide on adding a new Fuel Lock device, click here.

  1. Login to the Fuel Lock app
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Select Devices
  4. Tap the + Add New Device button
  5. Follow the Setup Wizard

Step 1/6 (Enter Device Information)

  1. Enter Device Name, Serial Number and Auto Lock Time (in minutes)
  2. Select Next Step to continue

Step 2/6 (Set Up Tanks)

  1. Add tank by specifying Tank Name and Capacity
  2. Select the pulser being used and the port number it is wired to
    1. Note that you must select the pulser, not the flow meter being used
    2. This corresponds to the port they are wired into on the flow meter board
  3. Specify Liter Limit if desired, otherwise enter 0 for no limit
  4. Use the toggle to enable/disable Virtual Tank Monitoring
    1. If Virtual Tank Monitoring is enabled, adjust the slider to set the current tank level (%)
  5. Tap on + Add Another Tank if adding more tanks, otherwise select Next Step to continue

Step 3/6 (Configure Power Supplies)

  1. Name your Power Supplies
    1. This refers to the contactor(s) your tanks are wired into
    2. It is recommended to give descriptive names such as Gas or Diesel
  2. If utilizing the second Power Supply, enable to toggle and specify a name
  3. Select Next Step to proceed

Step 4/6 (Set Device Active Hours)

  1. Set Device Active Hours
    1. This refers to when users can unlock the device to get fuel
  2. Set inactive days such as holidays, if desired
  3. Select Next Step to continue

Step 5/6 (Select Employees)

  1. Select employees that will have access to the Fuel Lock device. See Manage Employees article for more information
    1. If no employees have been added to the account yet, use the + Add New Employee button to create employees
  2. Tap Next Step to continue

Step 6/6 (Select Equipment)

  1. Select equipment that can be used with the device. See Manage Equipment article for more information
    1. If no equipment have been added to the account yet, use the + Add New Equipment button
  2. Finally, select Add New Device to complete the set up
  3. Sync your Fuel Lock device by pressing * then ### on the keypad.

Note that the device is also configured to automatically sync every six hours.

Edit Device

  1. Login to the Fuel Lock app
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Select Devices
  4. Tap on the Edit icon
  5. Proceed to make changes
  6. Select Update to save changes
  7. Sync your device by pressing * then ###
    1. Note that Fuel Lock is also configured to automatically sync every six hours

Delete Device

  1. Login to the Fuel Lock app
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Select Devices
  4. Select the Delete icon
  5. Confirm action by selecting Continue on the pop up window
    1. Note that removing the device will also delete all history
    2. It is strongly recommended to make back ups and generate Usage Reports prior to proceeding
  6. Sync your device by pressing * then ###
    1. Note that Fuel Lock is also configured to automatically sync every six hours

Remote Unlock

It is possible to remotely unlock Fuel Lock through the app.

  1. Login to the Fuel Lock app
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Select Devices
  4. Select the Unlock icon
  5. Confirm action by selecting Continue on the pop up window
  6. Sync your device by pressing * then ###
    1. Note that this step is required to unlock the device

  1. Login to Fuel Lock Web Dashboard
  2. Go to Settings on the left navigation menu
  3. Select Device
  4. Click the + DEVICE button on the bottom right corner
  5. Follow the Set Up Wizard

  1. Login to Fuel Lock Web Dashboard
  2. Go to Settings on the left navigation menu
  3. Select Device
  4. Select the pencil icon to edit
  5. To edit tanks, select Tank Configuration instead
  6. Proceed to make changes
  7. Be sure to save changes
  8. Sync your device by pressing * then ###
    1. Note that Fuel Lock is also configured to automatically sync every six hours

Delete Device

  1. Login to Fuel Lock Web Dashboard
  2. Go to Settings on the left navigation menu
  3. Select Device
  4. Select the trash icon
  5. Confirm action by selecting Submit on the pop up window
